How to win in 2019

This year’s awards are bigger and better than ever. More agents are participating, and have posted more reviews. In the last 4 weeks, buyers and sellers posted around 20,000 reviews – a massive leap on previous figures. In total, agents across Australia posted 175,000 reviews during 2017 (390,776 reviews to date).

As a result, we’ve increased the number of nominees to 10 for each State and Territory. Every nominee will receive an award to display in their office, regardless of who wins.

Raising the bar even higher

As you know, the Agent of the Year winners at the Suburb, City, State, National, Rising Star and Office Network levels are determined by their RMA Score. The score reflects the number of positive reviews posted as a percentage of the number of properties sold during 2017. For example, if you sold 50 properties in 2017, and received 40 positive reviews, your RMA score will be 80 per cent.

Last year, the Top 100 agents had an average RMA score of 60 per cent. This year, because more agents are participating and have posted more reviews, the average score has climbed to more than 70 per cent.

This means the standard you need to reach the nation’s Top 100, including the 10 nominees for each State and Territory, is substantially higher. If you think you're going to win based on your previous RMA Score, you may need to think again!

An RMA score of 70 per cent-plus is an invaluable marketing tool, because it tells potential clients that more than 70 per cent of other ‘locals’ were delighted with your service.
