Introducing the New Zealand Agent of the Year Awards

RateMyAgent's Agent of the Year Awards have fast become a highlight of the Australian real estate calendar. With the third annual event coming up in February, and RateMyAgent's recent expansion to New Zealand, it’s the perfect time to expand the Awards to recognise and reward the very best of Kiwi real estate agents and agencies.

"The cut-off date for posting reviews is 11:59pm (AEDT) on Sunday, 6th January 2019 … so now is the time to get cracking!"

How will winners be chosen?

RateMyAgent will calculate and notify New Zealand’s top 10 agents and top 10 agencies. The agent and agency with the highest scores will be presented with the New Zealand Agent and Agency of the Year awards at a RMAOpen 2019 Conference & Awards in Melbourne on 21 February 2019.

Like the Australian awards, the NZ awards are NOT based on the number of sales you make. They’re based on your RMA Score: the number of positive vendor reviews as a proportion of your overall sales.

Because each review comes from a legitimate vendor and is linked to a specific transaction, your RMA score is the most objective indicator of your client service professionalism.

Example: If you sell 20 properties and receive 17 positive vendor reviews, you’ll have an RMA score of 85%. If you sell 40 properties and receive 20 positive vendor reviews, your RMA score will be just 50%.

A year-round marketing opportunity

Winning a spot in the top 10 New Zealand Agent or Agency of the Year awards entitles you to use the logo and “Top 10” or “Winner” title for an entire year.

Because each award is based on your RMA score, marketing based on your Agent or Agency or the Year Award will carry an objectivity and credibility that few other awards can provide.

And, because this is the first time RateMyAgent is awarding New Zealand agents and agencies, early adopters of ratemyagent.co.nz will be best placed to make the most of this distinctly different marketing opportunity.

How can I put myself in the running for a top berth?

The best way to put yourself in contention for a berth in the top 10 agents or agencies is to request a vendor review for every property you sell. (Of course, you can – and should – ask buyers for reviews too, but they won’t count towards your RMA score).
The cut-off date for posting reviews is 11:59pm (AEDT) on Sunday, 6th January 2019 … so now is the time to get cracking!
